As ladies who get to go to the races a lot, we’ve pretty much seen it all. Here are some tips and tricks to make sure you, your fascinator and your outfit get home in one piece on race day.
Tip 1. Eat something substantial for breakfast and pack a muesli or protein bar to snack on throughout the day.
Tip 2. Drink lots of water before you go out and during the day. Try to include a glass of water between some alcoholic drinks to stay hydrated.
Tip 3. Never let go of your clutch. Your credit card and cash are vital to helping you get home in one piece.
Tip 4. Go to the races with a designated driver or sober friend. Take it in turns each year to have 1 sober friend who looks out for you. They’ll be able to remind you to drink water and keep an eye on your valuables.
